A blue moon doesn't exist...

...if you don't prescribe to the notion of the modern Gregorian calendar.

If you believe in living in a way which is connected with the natural rhythms of the world we live in, then it is impossible for a blue moon to exist.
You might be asking what is a blue moon anyway?
A blue moon is the occurrence of two full moons in one calendar month. Which in the UK at least we have just experienced in May.
And despite seeing it touted everywhere I am here to tell you it doesn't mean anything.
It literally means nothing. It is just another made up idea in our modern world that has no meaning.
Unfortunately, there are still lots of people within the spiritual and astrological world who seem to be unaware of this and share a lot about the power and energy of a blue moon.
When actually it's just another patriarchal construct that only exists within the confines of their design.
This, sadly, is what often happens when we just pick up on what we have been told all of our lives without feeling a little deeper into where it has come from and what it actually means.
If we truly lived in harmony with the world, spiritually, and astrologically, a blue moon would never exist because we would be living alongside the cycles of the moon (as we used to).
So for me it is *just* another full moon (I love the full moon so there's no such thing as *just* a full moon for me)
And your loving reminder to not absorb information at face value. To feel into what is being shared, why, where it has come from and to what end?
There's nothing malicious about a blue moon. There are no nefarious intentions around people's sharing of it (apart from maybe a few people profiting off it but heyho such is the capitalistic world we exist in).
For me it is just another reminder of how disjointed and disconnected we have become from our true reality. Our true existence. One where we live in harmony with the worlds natural and innate rhythm and cycles.
How do you feel about the blue moon? Does it excite you? Do you think I'm overreacting? Or were you absolutely oblivious to it before you read this?
Or, do you agree that you want to be living in sync with the moon and wish we lived a more natural life? If so you've arrived in the right place (have a peak at my website and socials and maybe subscribe to my newsletter if you like my vibes).
I would love to know your feelings and thoughts on this one.
Much Love,
Matilda đź’š
